About Gowardhan Kunj
Gowardhan Kunj is a growing residential community located in a prime area of the Gurgaon District, adjacent to the BSF Camp on Sohna Road in Bhondsi, Haryana, India. Nestled amidst vast expanses of uncultivated land, the area holds immense potential due to its strategic location. However, despite its proximity to the rapidly developing Gurgaon region, much of Bhondsi has remained underdeveloped and overlooked by government authorities, leading to thousands of households living in unorganized and underserved conditions.
Recognizing the need for structured development and a united community voice, Mr. Tejpal Tanwar envisioned a platform to bring together the local residents. Inspired by Lord Krishna and his grandfather, the name Gowardhan Kunj was chosen to reflect the community’s values of strength, resilience, and unity.
In July 2017, community leaders Mr. Rajeev Ranjan Kumar Singh, Mr. Arun Kumar Sharma, and Mr. Rajeev Kumar took charge of this noble initiative. Under their leadership, the Gowardhan Kunj Residents Welfare Association (RWA) was formally established and registered in 2018 under the Haryana Registration and Regulation of Societies Act, 2012.
The formation of the RWA marks a significant step toward improving living conditions, fostering community welfare, and advocating for better infrastructure and services. Despite the challenges, Gowardhan Kunj stands as a symbol of hope and determination—a community committed to transforming its surroundings and contributing positively to the larger vision of a progressive Gurgaon.
As we move forward, we remain dedicated to unity, development, and building a vibrant, well-organized neighborhood for all residents of Gowardhan Kunj.
